Clinton and McCain take New Hampshire Primary

Hillary Clinton’s campaign should change their slogan to a line from rapper LL Cool J: Don’t call it a comeback. For nearly a year, Clinton has been seen as the most likely choice and obvious front runner for Democratic Nominee but a loss in the Iowa Caucus had the Clinton campaign on the ropes.

While some analysts predicted she may soon drop out of the race after a possible loss in New Hampshire, the tables were turned. Hillary won New Hampshire and regained the momentum she needs (and expected). She finished with 39% of the vote and behind her were Obama (37%), Edwards (17%), Richardson (5%) and Kucinich (1%).

On the Republican side, McCain came away with a huge victory (37%) and only Mitt Romney was close (32%). The loss was seen as somewhat devastating for Romney who expected a win in New Hampshire. Huckabee, Giuliani and Ron Paul rounded out the top 5, earning spots in the next televised Republican debate.
